Who Can Order?

Certified copies of birth certificates may only be issued to people who have a direct interest in the record. This includes:

Person whose name appears on the certificate (registrant)

Parent, legal guardian, grandparent, spouse, adult child, adult grandchild, uncle/aunt, and cousin of the registrant

A legal representative of the registrant or the individuals previously mentioned (with a copy of the court order and other proof)

Person or agency acting on behalf of the registrant

A representative of the registrant's estate
